Iain and Allison’s wedding was a day of many interesting destinations! The first of which was to capture the Bride and her Mother having their hair and makeup done at Melanie Giles’ salon in Bradford-on-Avon, a beautiful part of Somerset I’ve never been to before, such a pretty little town! The salon itself is something quite special, the top floor being a large bright room with lots of interesting modern features (including a wooden church front, yes really!).
Once the beautifying was done we then made our way down the road to Foxfield Glamping Pods where Allison finished getting ready. It’s a lovely little spot and the owner is super friendly and helpful. She even brought a full-length mirror down from the main house for Allison to see her dress before we set off!
We then headed off on an hour’s drive to the wedding venue, Larmer Tree Gardens. Whilst I was with the bride getting ready, the videographer, Tim from Spatz Film, had been capturing the goings on at the venue. Also, Lauradana from Wedding Creations had been busy styling the venue and making everything look fabulous.
The humanist ceremony was held at the Roman Temple in front of Iain and Allison’s close family and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony and they were so lucky that the weather was glorious enough to have it outside!
After the ceremony we went off to find some quiet spots for photos, with such varied grounds there was lots of choice. We even managed to grab a couple of shots with a Peacock before it disappeared (only to reappear when the food came out!).
It was a very civilised affair, with games of croquet on the lawn and beautifully presented picnic hampers……until someone discovered a couple of space hoppers, no-one can resist those things, not even if you’re wearing a wedding dress!
The day was rounded off with a First Dance to live violin music in ‘The Singing Theatre’, what a fabulous way to end a wonderful day!
